Guide to Paris Hostels

Hostels, known as Albergues de Jeunesse, are really popular in Paris and they’re accessible only with the international hostels card.

In the city there are almost 30 hostels organized with 4, 6 or 8 bed dorms, shared bathroom, common areas and free Wi-Fi: prices are not really affordable, in general rates start from 25 Euros, but often include breakfast. In the outskirts of the capital, in the areas of Nanterre or Babigny, hostels are cheaper, with prices starting from 15-20 Euros.

If you’re planning to visit Paris during high-season, in Spring and during Christmas holidays or New Year's, it is recommended to book in advance even at hostels: being one of the cheapest lodging solution in Paris, they’re always crowded or sold out, epuisé in French.
